Live Surgery at the World Ophthalmology Congress in Hong Kong

Dr. Devgan was invited to perform live surgery at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Honk Kong during the World Ophthalmology Congress (WOC). More than 10,000 ophthalmologists attended this meeting from 105 countries. Congress was praised for the breadth and depth of the scientific program, excellent organization and staffing and unforgettable live surgery event performed by Dr. Devgan.

The Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin is a major public and teaching hospital serving New Territories East in Hong Kong. It covers the largest geographical area.

In 2003, over 90,000 patients were seen and over 2900 cataracts done. Such a growth is accompanied with significant surgical and technological advancement.

Live Surgery in Hong Kong

This lucky woman received free eye surgery by a world renowned doctor, Dr. Devgan. At the World Ophthalmology Congress Dr. Devgan was invited to perform live surgery to show and teach his colleagues how to perform cataract surgery using the crystalens.
